Organic Peachy Green Tea with Acai

The deep purple, sweet-tasting acai berry is an Amazonian superfruit found primarily in rain forests and floodplains. Acai is a superior source of the same health-protecting antioxidants found in red wine—without any of alcohol’s harmful effects. In addition to its pleasantly sweet and tangy taste, acai provides high levels of the omega-6 and -9 fatty acids that offer natural protection for the heart and cardiovascular system.
Our premium, non-oxidized, grown green tea—processed under rigorous quality standards to preserve the green color and mild-tasting lightness of the liquor—is extremely rich in protective antioxidants called catechin polyphenols, the most notable of which is epigallocatechin-3-gallate or EGCG. According to the Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry, consumption of green tea results in increased bone mineral density. When brewed with water under a boil for approximately 3 minutes, green tea contains only about 1/15th of the amount of caffeine found in a comparable serving of coffee.
EGCG, a catechin polyphenol that has been shown to inhibit growth of cancer cells in vitro, has also been shown to be effective in lowering blood pressure, lowering LDL cholesterol levels and inhibiting the abnormal formation of blood clots that are a leading cause of heart attack and stroke.
