I recently met up with a friend for a little afternoon tea at the Village Tea Company.  Located in the shopping center on the SW corner of Preston and Forest in Dallas, this quaint, calm, inviting escape from the hustle and bustle of the city (and dare I mention, the intensity of the Texas heat) is the perfect place for meetings, girls’ get-togethers, breakfast, lunch, or snack.  It’s great for parents to “get away” and enjoy a break with friends as their children play in a little colorful tots corner nook in the cafe.  Munch on pastries, salads, sandwiches or crepes – yes, you read it right – CREPES!  Try a variety of different teas, hot or cold, including ginseng orange, smooth jasmine, and lady marmalade.  They also have a separate menu for the kiddos.  If you don’t live in Dallas, you can purchase their organic teas online.
