Hi, I’m Martin and I love tea.

Hi my name is Martin and this is my first blog entry for the Village Tea Company.  In some way this is therapy for me…..sort of.  It’s taken us almost a year to get to the point of even having a blog so I guess this is a good thing?!  I haven’t done any blogging before so this will be an experience. So most people will read this and say…eh…so what…who are you and why should I care?

This is what makes us special!  Village Tea Company was created by 3 people Richard, Bryce and I and we live about 3000 miles apart….well not that far apart but it’s far enough if you imagine starting a company and opening a store together.  Richard lives in Nigeria and London, I’m in Dallas and Bryce is in New York.  We get together every now and then and somehow it works between us.  Hopefully, the name Village Tea Company describes exactly what we are 1) village (family atmosphere) 2) tea and 3) a company – we offer multiple types of tea and other items.

We’re located in Dallas and have a store that opens in the middle of July on Preston and Forest. We really believe in our tea.  Tea is the great connector between cultures and people.  It’s also widely used as a peace offering….ala Richard Gere and Julia Roberts in “Pretty Woman”.  Additionally, it not only provides a great health benefit but you get a great drink without sacrificing taste because you have can have it your way….the best of both worlds. So, what you’ll expect from this blog is 1 simple promise.  Honesty.  I’ll tell it like it is.  Show the mistakes and the successes and of course look for feedback and advise. That’s it for now……I’ll provide an update soon and pictures of our journey that’s a year in the making.

Cheers, M.
